TASTE Summer 2025

The local refreshment beverage scene has exploded in recent years. So, what exactly are “refreshment beverages”? They’re the canned cocktails, premixed beverages and other portable, ready- to-drink alcoholic potables popping up on shelves. From classic concoctions to more out-there flavour combinations, the creative options are abundant, thanks to these local companies.

Please! Beverage Co. The tasting room of Mount Pleasant’s Please! Beverage Co. is stylish, colourful and fun, traits that certainly carry over to the beverages. From incorporating house-made tinctures and sourcing locally grown herbs and botanicals to featuring artwork by emerging artists on their labels, Please! clearly “pours heart, passion and imagination into the potions of our dreams.” Their Tequila Cocktail Mix Pack is a perfect summer pick that features four different canned margaritas.

“Margaritas are an obvious choice to pair with Mexican delights, like tacos and fajitas. Or enjoy a margarita at any outdoor barbecue event.” — Noel Steen, founder of Please! Beverage Co.
