Women of Wine
It’s spring! What better way to celebrate the women in our lives and International Women’s Day than to highlight a few of the very women who have a hand in producing wines we greatly appreciate. We reached out to five talented females and asked what their picks of the season are.

“It is a symphony of floral and fruity aromas, such as violet, currant, pomegranate and wild strawberry; the palate is creamy, fresh and dry and it’s a great pizza wine.” Anna Spinato, owner of her self-titled winery, has lived her entire life in the tiny town of Ponte di Piave at the base of the Conegliano and Valdobbiadene hills in northern Italy’s Prosecco region. “My organic Prosecco DOC Rosé is a blend of Glera, with 15 percent Pinot Noir. Glera is the variety of Prosecco; Pinot Noir is a grape of great elegance that gives it a magnificent pink colour. It smells of spring! I remember running happily through the meadows when I was younger. I wanted to relive those scents and sensations, so I created this sparkling wine.”
