Blackcurrant Lime Margarita Here’s a silky-smooth, berry-forward twist on a classic lime margarita. It’s well balanced in sweetness and citrus while still giving the blanco tequila room to shine.
lime wedge, pink salt and sugar, for rim 1 oz (30 ml) 1800 Blanco Tequila ½ oz (15 ml) L’Héritier-Guyot Crème de Cassis de Dijon ½ oz (15 ml) Henkes Triple Sec ¾ oz (22 ml) fresh lime juice ½ oz (15 ml) egg whites 1 dehydrated lime wheel, for garnish
With lime wedge, moisten rim of a short glass. Roll moistened rim in equal parts pink salt and sugar, and set glass aside. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, crème de cassis, triple sec, lime juice and egg whites. Fill with ice and shake for 10 seconds. Fine strain into rimmed glass over fresh ice. Garnish with dehydrated lime wheel and serve.
